เมื่อวันที่ 27 สิงหาคม 2557 Mr.Enrique Ruiz, General Director of Economic Developement Council for sonora ได้นำคณะทีมประเทศไทย นำโดยนายจิระชัย ปั้นกระษิณ เอกอัครราชทูต ณ กรุงเม็กซิโก พร้อมด้วยผู้แทนจากสำนักงานส่งเสริม   การค้าระหว่างประเทศ ณ กรุงเม็กซิโก และฝ่ายการเกษตร ประจำสถานกงสุลใหญ่ ณ นครลอสแอนเจอลิส เข้าเยี่่ยมคารวะและหารือกับ Mr. Moisés Gómez Reyna,  Sonora's secretary of the economy ณ เมือง Hermosillo รัฐ Sonora ประเทศเม็กซิโก

​August 27, 2014 : H.E. Mr. Chirachai Punkrasin , Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand to Mexico led the Thailand Team consisting of  the Royal Thai Embassy in Mexico, Thai Trade Center Mexico and Thailand Office of Agricultural Affairs Los Angeles, to pay a courtesy visit to H.E. Mr. Moisés Gómez Reyna,  Secretary of Economy for Sonora.  The meeting also addressed means to further promote Thai- Sonora State trade relationships and technical cooperation.
