ABOUT US
" Thailand Office of Agricultural Affairs, Los Angeles (OAA-LA) is an entity established under the Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives Of Thailand. OAA-LA works with all governments, industry, and academia in foreign countries, as well as with multilateral organizations, to help assure that Thai food and agricultural products exported to the United States meet U.S. standards.
OAA-LA is also the first U.S. contact point for expatriates and travelers who wish to bring their pets into Thailand from 14 Western states including Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Hawaii, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, New Mexico, Oregon, Texas, Utah, Washington and Wyoming, and Mexico."

Our Mission

Study, analyze and formulate a working plan in responding to a foreign agricultural policy administered by the Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives, Thailand.

Study, analyze and monitor foreign agricultural policy, measures and state of affairs within the country and territories under the Office’s jurisdiction as designated

Represent and participate on behalf of the Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives in negotiating to resolve non-tariff barriers to agriculture trade as well as exploring cooperation and technical assistance within the sphere of foreign agricultural affairs.

Represent and participate on behalf of the Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives in agricultural related international fora including multilateral and bilateral meetings and negotiations,
as assigned.

Strengthen relationships between governments, foreign and international organizations as well as disseminate Thailand agricultural related information among them.

Coordinate and support the conduct of foreign agricultural affairs with all relevant sectors in Thailand as well as country and territories under the Office’s jurisdiction as designated and assigned.
