20 มิถุนายน 2568 – ดร. ปิยวัฒน์ นัยโกวิท กงสุล (ฝ่ายเกษตร) ประจำสถานกงสุลใหญ่ ณ นครลอสแอนเจลิส ไดสำรวจตลาดสินค้าเกษตรและอาหารไทยและผลไม้เขตร้อนที่วางจำหน่ายในซูเปอร์มาร์เก็ตของชาวเอเชียที่ตั้งอยู่ในเขตเมืองพอร์ตแลนด์ จำนวน 3 แห่ง ได้แก่ ร้าน Hong Phat Supercenter ร้าน Shun Fat Supermarket และร้าน H Mart โดยพบว่าซูเปอร์มาร์เก็ตทั้ง 3 แห่งดังกล่าวมีวางจำหน่ายสินค้าเกษตรและอาหารจากไทยเป็นจำนวนมาก อาทิ ข้าวหอมมะลิ มะพร้าว ทุเรียนแช่แข็ง ผลไม้บรรจุกระป๋อง เครื่องแกง ซอสพริก และบะหมี่กึ่งสำเร็จรูป เป็นต้น โดยกลุ่มลูกค้าส่วนใหญ่เป็นชาวอเมริกันเอเชียนและมีลูกค้าชาวอเมริกันผิวขาวบ้างเล็กน้อย ซึ่งแสดงให้เห็นว่าสินค้าเกษตรและอาหารไทยได้รับการตอบรับที่ดีจากผู้บริโภคชาวเอเชียในเขตเมืองพอร์ตแลนด์ และอาจมีแนวโน้มที่จะได้รับความสนใจจากกลุ่มผู้บริโภคชนชาติอื่นๆ ในอนาคต

 

June 20, 2025 – Dr. Piyawat Naigowit, Consul (Agriculture), Thailand Office of Agricultural Affairs, Los Angeles, conducted market surveys of agricultural and food products available in Asian supermarkets in Portland area, visiting three locations including Hong Phat Supercenter, SF Supermarket, and HMart. These supermarkets carry a wide range of Thai agricultural and food products, including jasmine rice, coconut, coconut milk, frozen durian, canned fruits, curry paste, chili sauces, instant noodles, etc. The majority of customers are Asian with a small number of white American customers. This indicates that Thai agricultural products and food have been well-received by Asian consumers in the Portland area, and a potential for growing interest from other ethnic groups in the future.
