เมื่อวันที่ 5 กุมภาพันธ์ 2569 ดร. ปิยวัฒน์ นัยโกวิท กงสุล (ฝ่ายเกษตร) ประจำสถานกงสุลใหญ่ ณ นครลอสแอนเจลิส เข้าร่วมการประชุมทีมประเทศไทยประจำสหรัฐอเมริกา ครั้งที่ 1/2560 (ผ่านระบบการประชุมออนไลน์) โดยการประชุมดังกล่าวครอบคลุมถึงหัวข้อการจัดการเลือกตั้งและออกเสียงประชามตินอกราชอาณาจักร การเดินทางเยือนรัฐฟลอริดาของเอกอัครราชทูตไทย ประจำกรุงวอชิงตัน ดี.ซี. และการเดินทางมาของผู้ช่วยรัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวงการต่างประเทศเพื่อเข้าร่วมการประชุม Securing Critical Mineral Supply: A Government-Industry Dialogue เป็นต้น

ในการนี้ ฝ่ายเกษตรฯ ได้นำเสนอแผนการดำเนินงานประจำปี 2569 โดยเน้นประเด็นการขอเปิดตลาดสินค้าเกษตร อาทิ สินค้าสับปะรดสดจากไทยไปยังสหรัฐอเมริกาโดยไม่ผ่านกระบวนการฉายรังสี รวมถึงแนวทางต่างๆ ในการเสริมสร้างความร่วมมือระหว่างฝ่ายเกษตรฯ กับหน่วยงานที่เกี่ยวข้อง

 

On February 5, 2026, Dr. Piyawat Naigowit, Consul (Agriculture), Thailand Office of Agricultural Affairs, Los Angeles (OAALA), participated in the 1st Team Thailand in the United States Meeting via an online platform. The meeting covered several agenda items, including the management of overseas elections and referendums, the official visit of the Ambassador of Thailand to Washington, D.C. to the State of Florida, and the visit of the Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs to attend the “Securing Critical Mineral Supply: A Government-Industry Dialogue” meeting.

 

During the meeting, Dr. Piyawat presented OAALA’s Fiscal Year 2026 operational plan, highlighting efforts to expand market access for Thai agricultural products, particularly fresh pineapples exported to the United States without irradiation treatment. The presentation also outlined strategies to strengthen cooperation between OAALA and relevant agencies.
