ฝ่ายเกษตร ประจำสถานกงสุลใหญ่ ณ นครลอสแอนเจลิส ได้พบหารือกับผู้นำเข้ากล้วยไม้ไทย บริษัท The Orchid Lei Company ณ เมืองโฮโนลูลู เกาะโออาฮู มลรัฐฮาวาย ในวันที่ 18 พฤษภาคม 2569 เพื่อรับทราบสถานการณ์และแนวโน้มตลาดกล้วยไม้ไทยในรัฐฮาวาย พร้อมทั้งเยี่ยมชมโรงคัดบรรจุสินค้าของบริษัท ซึ่งเป็นศูนย์กลางในการจัดเตรียมและกระจายสินค้าไปยังลูกค้าในพื้นที่ ซึ่งสินค้าของบริษัทโดยเฉพาะพวงมาลัย (Lei) ได้รับความนิยมอย่างมากและมีการจัดจำหน่ายให้แก่โรงแรมชั้นนำและธุรกิจท่องเที่ยวในฮาวาย นอกจากพวงมาลัยที่ประดิษฐ์จากดอกกล้วยไม้ไทยแล้ว บริษัทฯ ยังมีการจำหน่ายพวงมาลัยที่ทำจากเปลือกหอย ซึ่งสะท้อนเอกลักษณ์และวัฒนธรรมท้องถิ่นของฮาวายอีกด้วย

During the visit, the delegation also toured the company's packing and distribution facility, which serves as a central hub for preparing and distributing their products to customers across the state. For the company's products, particularly traditional Hawaiian flower garlands (leis) are highly popular and are supplied to leading hotels and tourism business in Hawaii. In addition to leis crafted from imported Thai orchids, the company also offers shell leis made from seashells, reflecting Hawaii's unique cultural heritage and local traditions.
